The New York City Municipal Archives recently acquired the 1949 New York City Death Index and is seeking volunteers to transcribe the images.
The images are from the printed 1949 death index. The goal is to create a digital index for inclusion in their Open Data portal at: https://opendata.cityofnewyork.us/
