IRISH FAMILY HISTORY FORUM

Aims or Purpose of Group

The Irish Family History Forum is devoted to promoting and encouraging the study of Irish genealogy and family history.

Service, Resources, or Benefits Provided to Members

Membership benefits include:

monthly genealogy lectures and genealogy tips sessions
a subscription to our award-winning quarterly Newsletter
access to the Members Only area of our website (ifhf.org), including a surname database
Ask the Experts sessions offering consultations with experienced genealogists
access to our Irish genealogy research collection at the Bethpage Public Library
borrowing privileges at our John Rowane Memorial Library, housed in the Family History Center in Plainview
participation in special events, such as guided tours and museum visits
the camaraderie of a group of dedicated genealogists.


Normal Meeting Schedule
 (Please confirm before attending since schedules do change.)

General meetings of the Forum are usually held on the third Saturday of the month, from September to November and January to June, in the Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Ave., Bethpage, NY. There is ample parking directly opposite the library.

Our meetings are usually structured as follows. 

10-10:45 a.m. Genealogy Tips session with Kathleen McGee
10:45-11:15 Ask the Experts program; refreshments break
11:15 a.m. Lecture

Membership Information

Membership year begins January 1.

Annual dues: $25 individual (foreign, $30), $35 family. Mail check payable to Irish Family History Forum to Treasurer, IFHF, PO Box 67, Plainview, NY 11803-0067, or join online using our website at ifhf.org.
