GERMAN GENEALOGY GROUP

Aims or Purpose of Group:

The German Genealogy Group (GGG) promotes the interest of research and education in Germanic ancestry.

The German Genealogy Group provides members:

*A New Member Packet

*Monthly newsletter – by mail or email

*Borrowing privileges from the GGG library at monthly meetings

*Document translation service

*Access to the GGG Forum

*Member to Member Search and Contact

*Access to the Surname List Database

*Meeting hand-outs 2003- present

*Meeting lecture recordings 2012-present

*Back issues of newsletter, 1996-present

*Access to the listing of books and CDs owned by the GGG that can be borrowed by members and a listing of books owned by   members who will do look-ups

In addition, the website hosts numerous free indexes including: birth/marriage/death records, naturalization records, military records, church records, and cemetery records. Currently there are over 22,400,000 records in the GGG databases.

Normal Meeting Schedule (Please confirm before attending since schedules do change.)

Meetings are open to the public.  There is no charge for guests or non-members.

Meetings are normally held:

First Thursday of month, 7:30 p.m., September through June. In December, in lieu of a regular meeting, there is a holiday party.
First-timers orientation session begins at 7 p.m.

Membership Information:

Membership year is for 12 months from date of joining. Dues can be paid by mail or online at the German Genealogy Group website.

Annual dues:  $15.00 (U.S.)

The organization was founded in 1996.
