Operation Benjamin – Virtual

This presentation will detail the work of Operation Benjamin, a non-profit dedicated to locating Jewish personnel at World War II American military cemeteries all over the world who, for various reasons, were buried under Latin crosses. The group’s mission is to correct these mistakes, with the help of the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), and provide comfort to the families of the fallen. We will cover the headstone change process from beginning to end, the main genealogical resources we utilize while researching soldiers, and highlight a very special local resource that is vital to our work.
