Michael Chaplan became involved with genealogy in 2012, while working near the NYC Municipal Archives. He will discuss his exploration of the Lower East Side – “the American-Jewish Plymouth Rock” – in search of his immigrant ancestors’ early 20th century addresses and anything else he could learn about life in the old neighborhood.
